VISITOR ENTRY: The visitor presses the “round
button” that looks like a phone or the “#” key on the system’s keypad. This
will call your telephone in the house, at this time you may communicate with
the visitor. If you would like to grant entry and open the gate, press “9”,
this will disconnect you from the visitor and open the gate.
CALL WAITING: If you are talking on the phone
at the time a visitor call’s you from the gate, you will hear 2 short tones to
signal that someone is attempting to call you. You may press the digit “2” on
your touch tone phone and place your call on hold and at the same time connect
you to the visitor at the gate. You may alternate from the call and the gate by
pressing the digit “2” each time. If you do not want to grant entry to the
gate, you may press the “*” and you will be automatically re-connected to your
call. If you grant entry to the gate by pressing the digit “9”, the gate will
open and you will automatically be re-connected to your call. If you forget that you placed the outside
call or the gate on hold by using call waiting and hang up the phone, the
system will ring your phone 3 times to remind you that you still have a call
waiting.
ENTRY CODES: Unique entry codes may be
programmed into the system to allow yourself, relatives, or workers access
without calling the house. When the code is entered in the keypad the gate will
open. (Codes may be 3-9 digits in length, however, all codes must be the same
length; default setting is 4-didgits) (maximum of 250 different codes)
