ABBREVIATED INSTRUCTIONS for LED Keypad

 

 

DSC-5010 ABBREVIATED INSTRUCTIONS

 

ARMING THE SYSTEM:

1. Make sure you have a green ready light

2. Enter your 4-digit code, or press the arming button for Stay or Away for 3 seconds. Make sure the red armed light – lights. (Pressing the Stay button arms the system without any Motion Detectors; Pressing the Away button arms the entire system, Perimeter & Interior)

3. If you are leaving, you must exit within 30 seconds through a delay door. If you armed the system by a code or by the Away button, you will hear exit beeps.

 

DISARMING THE SYSTEM:

1. Enter your 4-digit code; make sure the red armed light goes out. If you are entering the premise through a delay door, you will hear a tone from the keypad to remind you to disarm the system.

 

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

1. If you make an error while entering a code, press the pound sign “#”, then re-enter your code. This will clear the keypad and allow for another entry.

2. If you set off the Burglary Alarm, the phone will ring, answer and identify yourself by name & PASSCODE (word) to the operator to cancel the alarm.

3. If there is any other priority alarm (ie: Fire, Panic, Medical) that was tripped accidentally, please call us immediately.

4. If you have a trouble light on, please refer to the owner’s manual for an explanation of specific trouble conditions or call our office for assistance.

 

NO GREEN LIGHT:

1. Look for the zone light that is lit and refer to your zoning information to determine what area of the protected premise is not secure. Secure that area and you should now have a green light.

 

ALARM MEMORY:

1. After an alarm has occurred, there will be an alarm memory light on the keypad, the next time you arm the system, this will disappear.
